FRIENDS & COLLABORATORS

Local partnerships, friends and collaborators

BCM staff and volunteers work with local partnerships including The Abundant Table Farm Project and the Ojai Valley Green Coalition, and national ventures including the Word and World School for faith-based activists; the Sabbath Economics Collaborative, a circle of theologians, educators and activists working for economic justice; the Center and Library for the Bible and Social Justice at Stony Point Center, NY; and the Watershed Discipleship Alliance of bioregional activists of faith. We have a wide range of other collaborative relationships with groups in the region, around the U.S. and in Canada, Australia, the U.K., Sweden and Palestine, some of which are listed below.

Fiscally sponsored partnerships

BCM has occasionally provided fiscal sponsorship for a small percentage to start-up or short-term projects: which are raising their own support and need a tax-deductible platform; with whom we are in relationship; and which meet certain criteria (contact us about these). Our most recent fiscally sponsored projects were: Stone River Homestead, Josh Grace’s Vocational Pivot and Kardia Kaiomenē (see below).

  • Kardia Kaiomenē: Lindsay and Tommy Airey

Tommy and Lindsay Airey, former BCM Mission Associates, have incorporated their own non-profit in Michigian - Kardia Kaiomenē - you can find out more here.

Lindsey is a trained Marriage & Family Therapist who leads couples retreats and offers accompaniment to various practitioners of radical discipleship, church renewal and social change throughout North America. Tommy is a soul tender and a former high school teacher. Tommy is also a writer and co-editor of RadicalDiscipleship.net.
