All full registration packages include all course materials and 11 meals (dinner Monday Feb 18 through breakfast Friday Feb 22)

All registration packages except Commuter and Day Visitor include the accommodations described. Each package is described below.

Your registration is only confirmed upon receipt of your full payment and completed registration form.

Registration and Accommodation Packages

  • Basic Package - Forest Home Cabins (up to 10 people)

    Forest Home cabins are heated, have power and are divided into two rooms: one with 4 beds (2 bunks) and the other with 6 Beds (3 bunks) with all 10 beds sharing a single bathroom. Accommodation does not include bedding - you should bring your own pillow, warm sleeping bag, extra blanket and towel/toiletries. Participants will be housed in same-gender rooms unless requested otherwise (mixed gender rooms are ok). No additional accommodation prior to or following the Institute is available.

  • Motel Upgrade - shared room (2 people)

    Accommodation is in a shared room at the Oak Ridge Motel in Oak View. Daily shuttles between the Oak Ridge Inn and Forest Home will be provided in mornings and evenings. You may arrange your own transport: it is about a 30 minute walk, 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute car ride (there are two hills on the way back from Forest Home to the Oak Ridge Inn.

    • US$610 ($630 for PayPal) Early Bird rate: (registered and paid before 16 Dec 2018)
    • US$645 ($665 for PayPal) Regular rate: (registered and paid: 17 Dec 2018 to 27 Jan 2019)

  • Budget Package - Forest Home Platform Tents (up to 8 per tent)

    Forest Home platform tents have no heat, but do have power and have solid walls and floor but a canvas roof.  Each tent contains 8 beds (4 bunks) and bathroom facilities are in an external toilet block a short walk from the tents. Accommodation does not include bedding - you should bring your own pillow, very warm sleeping bag, extra blanket (or 2 - it will be cold in Winter!) and towel/toiletries. Participants will be housed in same-gender tents unless requested otherwise (mixed gender tents are ok). If you wish to bring you own tent, there is room but please let us know so we can inform the camp. No additional accommodation prior to or following the Institute is available.

  • Commuter Rate - arrange your own accommodation

    If you wish to make you own accommodation arrangements you will also need to arrange all your own transport. For those who already live in Ventura County, please ask about our local resident's discount.

    • US$375 ($386 for PayPal) Early Bird rate: (registered and paid before 16 Dec 2018) 
    • US$400 ($412 for PayPal) Regular rate: (registered and paid: 17 Dec 2018 to 27 Jan 2019) 
    • US$450 ($463 for PayPal) Late registration (registered and paid: 28 Jan 2019 to 3 Feb 2019)
  • Day Visitor - no accommodation

    We strongly encourage participants to attend the whole Institute as we run daily small groups and overall learning experience is cumulative. However if you are only able to attend one or two days, you can pay a daily rate for Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursdays. This does NOT include accommodation.

    • US$135 per day ($139 for PayPal) Regular rate: (registered and paid before 27 Jan 2019)  
    • US$155 per day ($160 for PayPal) Late registration (registered and paid: 28 Jan 2019 to 3 Feb 2019)
  • Children - accommodation with parents

    Children are welcome at the Institute and we are hoping that once again our special Children's Chaplain Tina Mata will provide limited sessions of kids activities. Also Camp Forest home may run -"adventure camp" day program for local kids, that registered children can join in. Older children are welcome to participate in institute sessions.

Other Needs

Bartimaeus Cooperative Ministries strives to be as inclusive as we can. While we face some limitations based on the venues and accommodation we are able to access, we will endeavor to meet your needs. Please let us know if there is anything we can help with.


For those with dietary or food restrictions or allergies, please fill out your information on your registration form.

For those who wish to stay in the same room as family or friends who are attending, please let us know as we can arrange mixed-gendered rooms on campus. Outdoor bathrooms (camping) are gendered (M/F only) but Cabin bathrooms are not.

For those with any mobility restrictions, we can arrange transport around the campus.
